With my little sister’s birthdy coming up, I thought it only fitting to write a blog post about the myriad of reasons I am so thankful to haver her. From family vacations to family dinners and for the countless sleepovers and movie marathons, I could not imagine life without my baby sis.
Sisters are a constant support system. We are always on the same team. For life.
Sisters don’t get tired listening to each other’s drama. They always know just the thing to say.
They are the only ones who know how to keep us calm.
And how to keep us grounded.
Sisters know each others’ good sides.
And shamelessly take thousands of selfies. Even in public.
Sisters telepathy is a thing.
Sisters love all the same shows and spend hours binge watching those shows.
When a family member cooks something awful, we got each others backs.
Or when we need someone to cover for us with the parentals, we can always count on each other.
Sisters rock those matching outfits better than anyone.
Personal boundries mean nothing.
And neither do boundries between closets. Nothing to wear? No problem.
Oh yeah and sisters can always count on a like/favorite/retweet/comment on various social medias.
Sisters can always count on each other to be honest. Even when it’s hard.
Sisters put up with each others’ idiosyncrasies.
We can simultaenously be mean to each other and love each other.
But if someone messes with one of us…they’re done. Solidarity sister.
Distance has nothing on a sisterly bond.
Sisters are stuck by each others sides for the rest of time. That is a pretty great comfort to have.
Best sister friends forever.
