Grease vs. High School Musical: movies that redefined their generations.

Grease first made it’s appearance in 1978. Set at Rydall High, it centered around greaser Danny and his group of T-Birds, and the wide-eyed and innocent, new girl Aussie named Sandy. Completely different clicks, but with some killer musical numbers made their high school romance work. High School Musical premiered on Disney Channel in 2005. Set at East High, a basketball heartthrob popular boy named Troy and a brainy, shy girl named Gabriella fall in love while breaking the status quo. Already noticing the similarities? Well there is many amongst these two all-time classic high school flicks.

The two lovebirds first meet while on breaks from school. Far away from their high school reputations.

But then lied to their friends about what happened over break.

They both fall for the athlete.

well sort of… 

Then the girl questions how she could be so foolish with her heart.

But the guy proves to her that he is worthy of her love by serenading her/giving her a token of his love to remind her that…..

Their high school romance is unlike any other.

And they don’t even need excessive amounts of PDA to prove that.

The school dances are awesome and everybody dances.

The popular girls love pink.

And the leading lady has the sensible best friend.

The leading lady ends the movie in a killer outfit.

And finally, the whole school comes together in the final scene.
