Golden Globes: Part 1

Let’s be honest, Awards Season is the only thing that we can look forward to post New Years in the winter months. This Sunday, January 13th, the 70th annual Golden Globe Awards will take place. Then we can say the awards season has officially commenced. With only the People’s Choice Awards and Critics Choice Awards under its belt, the Awards Season has many more events on its calendar. Because I am insanely excited for this red carpet event, I have compiled a list of my favorite Golden Globe Fashion Moments modeled by some of my favorite actresses. But first, my predictions for Golden Globe Trends of 2013 are as follows: C O L O R, out of this world intricate beadwork, tone on tone texture, and of course the ever classic long black dress (LBD Golden Globe style). Alrighty ladies, now you can proceed to become green with envy over these jaw-dropping, stunning works of art we call red carpet couture.

Eva Mendes proved white is acceptable after Labor Day when done right. And clearly everything about this white silk Dior taffeta bustier creation is SO right. Paired with turquoise, this outfit is just plain perfect.

Emma Stone looked both absolutely stunning and flawless in this peachy minimalist Calvin Klein Collection dress.

Anne Hathaway, admired by me for both her acting achievements (Devil Wears Prada anyone?) but for her red carpet couture style. Jaws dropped when she stepped out in this amber tone Giorgio Armani Privé evening gown.

Olivia Wilde definitely took a risk by wearing a Marchesa ballgown, however no risk no reward right? Right. And Olivia Wilde sure got rewarded by fashion critics everywhere for her fashion risk.

Kate Beckinsale screamed less is so much more with the help of Roberto Cavalli.

Lea Michele shows some skin in a tasteful manner while still making a statement in this metallic Marchesa gown.

And finally, Salma Hayek not only rocked ombre hair before it became a fad, but successfully mixed Aztec prints with black sequins in this Gucci gown.
